We eventually pulled into Agra on the overnight train, only five hours late! Apparently though, we did quite well, as it can be up to 14 hours delayed! Despite the fact that it rained most of the time we were in Agra, the Gods (Shiva maybe?) were on our side and the weather was perfect during both our sunset and our sunrise visits to the Taj Mahal.
No photo can truly convey the scale and the intricate detail that gives the Taj its grandeur and beauty..especially when we are featured in them!
When we could be dragged away from the Taj we managed to fit in the Agra Fort and a VERY happy 'happy hour' (featuring many free gin and tonics and loads of free food) at the hotel!
